Today I'm tackling my new and soon-to-appear Website. I bought www.jessicaburkhart.com last week and am hard at work getting a new Website uploaded and ready for browsing. My old Website served its purpose as a launching pad for getting my name and work more visible, but now it's time to move on to a bigger, better site with an easy to remember URL! :)
Once the site is up and running, I'll post an announcement. It could take anywhere from several weeks to a couple of months, but I'm working on getting at least a basic Website running soon.
Do you have a Website? If so, did you design it yourself or did you hire someone?
And, go congratulate Diana on her big news!

Ooh, can't wait!!
I designed my own website. It needs an update which I'm going to get to as soon as I finish the first draft of my YA (which should be soon!).
I'm so excited to see what you come up with! I don't have a website, but I'm always perusing others. I'm like a website snob...I critique them and have my favs. I say find websites you like and then find out who does them. Of course I'm stating what you already know, but still! I'm a fan of Maureen Johnson's site, Lauren Willig's, Susan Hatler's. They're all really different but interesting. I get overwhelmed by the crazy-busy ones.
Gina, I love your Website and am encouraged by the fact that you did it yourself and it looks great.
Steph, good suggestions! I love Maureen's, too, and will check out those other sites you mentioned.
I designed my own website, but I've recently needed something more than my capabilities. I hired a designer and it's nearly finished. yay!
Can't wait to see your new site!
Oh, add me to the can't wait list! I'm with Steph on being a website snob, but I know yours will be beyond fabulous...how exciting to have your own name in a url and all!
Thanks, Jessica! I do guerilla HTML, which means I learn by doing. It is not the easiest way to go, but it reflects me more than a site designed by someone else. I think. ;)
My web designer is the bomb! Her name is Denise Biondo and she is so amazingly talented! Good luck, can't wait to see the site.

Gina, I especially adore the cat pics. I'm the same way about my Siamese. :)
Steph, your Website (and Simone's) are two of the cutest sites I've ever seen! I visit them both often. :)
I taught myself HTML when I was 10 and recently taught myself how to use DIV layers (sorry, I love throwing techie terms out there, since I don't know that many) so I managed to make myself a pretty snazzy website (well, I like it, in any case). I haven't uploaded it yet, though. I'm waiting until I have an agent. ^_^
