Mini horse pics

So, here are the pics of the mini horses! :) These little guys are foals from a local miniature horse farm. Aren't they adorable? That's my brother, Jason, with a colt who loved attention. That's the family's dog and it shows just how small the horses really are. Unlike regular horses, these hardy guys can have a 30 year life span. They were so sweet and they had the most even temper of any horse I'd been around.

Now I want one. :)

Super cute! Random, but I wonder how much they are. Do people keep them as "pets" or no?

I've been catching up on your blog...it's been ages since I've been on! So yes, big congrats on all of the happenings! I'm so happy that everything is taking off for you. :)

Hey Steph! So good to hear from you! Yep, they're pets. If you're under 50 pounds you can ride them and they can pull a cart with up to 300 pounds. They're really expensive though. Almost double the cost of a normal horse. Plus, the mares lost 50% (!) of their foals. Isn't that awful?!

Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. Had to come peek around to get to know you better. I love your mini horse pictures. Just adorable. I have a Great Dane about the same size. (-:
I will be in your town soon, at the Southern Festival of Books. I'll be speaking there and hope you will come by to introduce yourself and maybe stay to listen to the presentation.
Very best,
