If you don't have the May 2007 issue of the writer and you're a freelancer, definitely check it out! The magazine is chock full of everything for freelancers and it's one of the best issues yet! Plus, an added bonus, I've got a tiny letter to the editor in this month's issue. :)
I'm too busy with finals to blog much but never fear, the daily blogging will resume after finals.

Best of luck with finals. I'll be thinking of you!
Congrats on your letter in The Writer, Jessica. I thought it was one of their BEST issues too! But I've noticed during the past few months that it gets better and better. Hey, just noticed where you're from: my dear friend and crit partner, Marilynn Griffith lives there. She's the author of Pink, Jade, Tangerine, Made of Honor and a couple of others. If you get a chance to see her at a signing or hear her speak, believe me, she's AWESOME. Tell her I sent you! :)
Now I have a question for you. :) When you got the go-ahead on your article for RWR, did you query the editor using her email address in the magazine? I have an idea for an article for them ... just wondered how YOU did it. Did they give you a deadline and word count, etc... or should I include that in my pitch? :)
Erica: Thanks! :) I need the good thoughts!
Jess: Yes, query by email. I was assigned a word count and a deadline. They're really nice, too. I haven't turned in the article yet, so I don't know about turnaround. I'll definitely keep my ears open for Marilynn. :)
Good luck with finals! I so wish mine were in a few days, rather than 8 weeks away!
