I've got a HUGE favor to ask...if you have time (as if your schedules aren't jammed enough!) it would *awesome* if you could review a Canterwood Crest book on Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, Borders.com or any other book site. That might encourage more people to try reading one the books and it would be so great to have more people on Team Canterwood!

No news yet on the TV/movie option, but maybe if they see Team Canterwood being even more active it'll get people excited. :)

Saturday surprise--new Canterwood Crest vlog!

Happy Saturday, everyone! I had time to edit another video from the previous Canterwood Crest cover photo shoot, so I thought I'd share. Yay!

Here, I talk with the models who portray Heather Fox and Sasha Silver. We're all goofing off and chatting before the first shot of the day.

Woke up to these pics from friends for my birthday. PG obvi knows my love for RPattz and Julia must have had ESP and known I hadn't seen the Canterwood books on display on the Favorite Series shelf at B&N. Oh, snap!! That's sooo cool!

Today/tonight is going to be *awesome.*

Wow. Today's my last day as a 22-year-old. I feel waaay older. But also very immature in some ways. (Like, my addiction to every flavor of lip gloss I can find...and, um, my love for all things Twilight...) :)

I'm superexcited about my birthday. Plans are set and I'm sensing an Epic Weekend.

Random updates

Busy isn't really a strong enough word to describe what's been going on over the weekend/early this week.

I've been working out details on two upcoming conferences, sending Canterwood Crest updates to my Web designer (Check out the new info!), working on a panel, agreeing to do a NJ panel, corresponding about a book club I'm doing in February, etc, etc, etc!

Oh, and writing the draft of CITY SECRETS. I'm thisclose to finishing and it Will. Be. Done. this weekend. Yes. But, I'm kind of distracted because my birthday's on Friday and I'm superexcited about it. Hello, 23! :D

Hopefully, I'll have time to make a new vlog very soon from the awesome list of suggestions from my reader girlies.

Since I had both covers left to share, I thought why not post them together! :D So, here are the covers for books 11 and 12. And there's also the reveal of title #12--UNFRIENDLY COMPETITION. Yaaay! I love, love these covers and can't imagine seeing all 12 lined up at bookstores one day soon. Very exciting.

Hello, Rival Revenge!

After a quick morning stalking of the bookstores, it looks like RIVAL REVENGE (Canterwood Crest #7) is indeed out in many stores. It has a technical release date of 1/26, so it's always fun when bookstores release early. My local B&N says they have copies and I think that'll mean a stock signing this weekend. I have the *nicest* people at my B&N and I love going there.

Book. Number. Seven. Wow. At this time last year, TAKE THE REINS (CC #1) was about to release and I was FREAKING OUT. The series was set at four books and I was doing promo for TTR and writing CHASING BLUE. Now, it's hard to believe there are going to be 12 books. Thanks so much to the awesome reader girlies for backing the series and being on Team Canterwood! Also, hugs to the team at S&S--you guys rock.

And, of course, the books would be, well, superboring, unsparkly and just eh without Editor K, Kate Angelella. Angelella is spelled T-A-L-E-N-T-E-D, btw. Writer, editor, author-wrangler--she does it all. :)

Yay RIVAL REVENGE and I can't wait to go book stalking.

City Secrets and Elite Ambition cover reveal--full size

All right! As promised, here are the large versions of the covers. Yay! And guess what? I *also* have the next two covers and have permission to share those! Woo hoo! So, I'll post the next two covers this week. Very exciting.

The only thing that's not final on the CITY SECRETS cover is that it doesn't yet have the SUPER SPECIAL edition mark, but it will soon. :)

Hey guys!

I'm so glad you're all passionate about Canterwood and that you love the characters and their horses as much as I do. :) It's amazing to have support like that. In the previous thread, though, the criticizing each other HAS to stop or I'll have to moderate all comments. I really don't want to do that and it would take up a ton of my writing time. So, can we all share our opinions but be cool?

To the RR prize winners: I've been sick and on a crazy deadline, so your prizes will go out on Monday. Sorry about the delay!

Also, Paige and Lauren are *not* the Mystery Girl. :D

City Secrets and Elite Ambition cover reveal

The rumors in the previous post ARE true! The covers were posted on the Simon & Schuster Website. As soon as I get the files, I'll post the large version so you guys can see them up close. I'm so excited to see Paige on the cover of CITY SECRETS.

And on ELITE AMBITION, we've got the new mystery girl and Callie. I'll post the full size covers as soon as I get them--promise! :)

It's soo cool that some of you have already found copies of RIVAL REVENGE. Yaay! I need to get to my local B&N and check to see if it's there. Maybe I could sneak a vlog from inside the store...or end up getting thrown out. LOL. I could try.

2010 goals and dreams

Not much time to blog since I've been busy with CITY SECRETS. Like, really busy. But it's over a week into the new year and I haven't talked about goals/wishes for the New Year. I'm trying to focus on things that are in *my* control, but I also want to spend the first new year in NYC just living and seeing what happens. Sometimes, it's seemed the less I try to make things happen--the better things work out.

In 2010, I hope to:

* Finish Canterwood 9-12 and keep building Team Canterwood

* Write an edgy YA novel proposal

* Write an adult novel proposal with BFF

* Write a new tween book

* Read more. Waaay more.

* Write more. Waaay more.

* Go out and have fun

* Stay in and have pizza/movie parties

* Vlog more

* Buy stock in Sephora ;)

* Walk through the park after a fresh, heavy snow

* Go on vacation--(maybe to the Jersey Shore?) ;) Haha.

What're your resolutions/goals/dreams for the New Year?

PS--As soon as it's announced, I'll blog about it, but super sparkly congratulations to my BFF for having something awesome, amazing and sooo well deserved happen for her last night.

Unfortunately, the CITY SECRETS cover needed a few last minute tweaks, so I don't have the file to share with you guys yet. :( *BUT* that means the cover is only going to be that much better. So, instead, I'll share the title for Canterwood Crest #11. :) That I can do.

Canterwood Crest #11 is... SCANDALS, RUMORS, LIES. Editor K came up with the title and I looooove it. :)

I have a ton of crazy writing to do, so I'm back to it.

So many awesome vlog ideas

Thank you guys SO much for all of the fab video ideas. They're so creative and fun! I already have pre-taped interviews with the CC models and some other really fun stuff from the last photo shoot that I'll be airing over the next few months, so def stay tuned for that.

So...there were so many amazing ideas that I couldn't pick one. I'm going to try and do as many as I can over the year and post a new video as often as possible. I've still got to, you know, write Canterwood and stuff, but I'll definitely be vlogging more. Plus, Editor Kate wants to do a vlog with me, so that'll be a super special video. :)

CITY SECRETS is due *really* soon, so I've got to get back to writing.

PS-Just over 3 weeks till RIVAL REVENGE comes out! Yay! :D

Next week...

I'm going to reveal the cover for CITY SECRETS (CC #9), which comes out in July 2010. :) It's the book I'm working on right now while I, erm, watch VH1's Top 20 Countdown.

Can't wait for you guys to see it! Yay!

Rival Revenge contest winners!

I hope everyone had a fantastic New Years! I had a fab time ringing in 2010. I went into the city with friends and we partied till way after midnight. When we were in Manhattan, I saw this girl standing next to me and thought, "Huh. She looks really familiar." But I didn't know how I "knew" her. I looked again and realized it was Hilary Duff. Weird, huh?
