Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

I've got some cool news to share on this Wednesday morning! My dad's company partnered with ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition and they built a house in Minnesota over the past week. The episode will air during sweeps in November and you'll be able to see my dad's company (Eniva) and a bunch of the company employees and owners who signed on to help.

I was this close to flying to Minnesota to help rebuild and sneak a glance at the photo shoot with Ty Pennington and the gang, but my dad had to fly somewhere else for the week, so it was a no go.

I'm working on edits today and am getting ready for the holiday weekend. Anyone have any plans? I'll be writing, sifting through my pile of YA and MG must reads and grilling.

That sounds fun about Extreme Makeover.

And no plans here. Just working all weekend, too.

How exciting! I will definitely tune in to see that episode. I love that show. You'll have to remind us when it's coming up though, cuz I for one will forget! lol.
I love what you've done to your blog. I wanted to customize mine, but I have no idea how to.

The work never stops, huh Emily? :)

I'll definitely let you know April! It's supposed (well, rumored) to be on November 25, but I'll definitely post when it's available.

Customize your blogger by using the layout tabs when you sign in. I love playing with the colors and such. Just play around with it--mine was all trial and error.

A Ty Pennington near miss? Dang! I'm scrambling to get ready for the weekend, leaving the beach to head off to Alaska-- I can't wait!
Best of luck with all your edits!

That's neat, Jessica. Too bad you couldn't go. This weekend's plans: Laundry, Chinese food, GRE studying, writing proposals for kidlit academic papers. Just a whole mess of fun :)

Hi,
I "Googled" Extreme Makeover blogs and found yours. I was at the Minnesota Makeover, and I believe I worked with one of your dad's employees - a lady artist. My mom, this lady and I worked on one of Paul's creations.

It was an amazaing week! To answer a couple of common questions, yes I got Ty's autograph and yes I was inside Ty's secret room.
