Take the Reins--3 months away! Whoa!

Umm...so. Take the Reins (Canterwood Crest #1) comes out in 3 months. OMG. OMG. (Repeat that a zillion times.)

I.

Am.

Scared.

And.

Thrilled.

And a dozen other emotions. I feel like !!!!!!!. It's REALLY happening. In 12 weeks, actual people who are not my editor and agent will read my book. Yikes. This debut author thing is a crazy roller coaster! :) Right now, I'm in the "OMG, what if no one reads my book and/or they hate it" stage. Last week, it was "Heh, I have plenty of time till it comes out." Next week? Who knows!

Off to breathe...and write...

If you're a debut author with a book coming out soon, how do you deal? Share!

That must be an insane feeling. I'm sure your book will do just fine. Do you know where it will be sold, besides Amazon.com, that is?

I can't wait! It's going to be amazing. And scary. But amazing.

From you prior post I'm Callie Harper! Sounds a little like me although I'm probably a little more relaxed!

And wow...SO excited for you! To think back to when this all started! Or at least when we first met and how much has happened since then!

Did I ever tell you I have some psychic abilities? I'm seeing lots and lots of literary success in your future! :)

Oh, Jessica, do I ever know how you feel! The days leading up to a debut release are filled with excitement and terror! ;-)

But it is the most amazing feeling, watching someone pick up YOUR BOOK off the shelf and BUY IT! And to get Amazon reviews from people you don't know. And best of all - to get emails from kids who have read and loved your book.

Take the Reins is going to be HUGE! I can't wait to read it, and hear more about how excited you are post-release (because the terror dies a quick death once you see your book in a kid's hands!) ;-)

Thank you, all! I'm feeling much better today, lol. :)

Mitch, I'm getting to your email, I swear!

Oh, it's no big deal Jessica! I know you've got a very busy schedule so I don't want you to think that you have to get to the email. I just wanted to reach out and say hi because your videos and blogs have helped me on my own writing journey!
